The Buses were Stuffed!

The Lincoln community literally “stuffed” the bus during the Stuff the Bus event on April 15th & 16th. Thank you to all the volunteers and countless community members, all four StarTran buses were stuffed full of highly needed items for survivors of domestic violence.

Thank you to the Lincoln Walmart and Sam’s Club stores that welcomed us.  A very special thank you to our partners at StarTran and Alpha Media radio stations (KFOR 1240AM/101.5FM, 106.3 KFRX, 104.1 The Blaze, KX 96.9, Mix 103.3 & The Eagle 92.9).

Each bus was packed with brand new highly needed items for the families at Friendship Home. Some of the of items collected include towels, cleaning products, food, paper products, hygiene items and so much more.

Friendship Home relies on the generosity of the caring individual that support this event to help keep our shelves stocked and our kitchens full. Because of the gracious members of our community the domestic violence survivors we serve have the everyday items they need to start their journey free from violence! We could not have done it without our amazing volunteers, kind donors, and you!
