Support Friendship Home During Give to Lincoln Day

Summer-2021

Each year, our community comes together to show the power of local giving, and Give to Lincoln Day is at the heart of it all. This month-long celebration of generosity supports hundreds of nonprofits doing vital work in Lincoln, including Friendship Home.

We’re excited to share that early giving begins today, May 1, and runs through Give to Lincoln Day on May 29. Every donation made to Friendship Home through the Give to Lincoln platform increases our share of a $650,000 match fund — allowing your gift to go even further.

What is Give to Lincoln Day?

Give to Lincoln Day is a community-wide fundraising event coordinated by the Lincoln Community Foundation. It’s designed to uplift the nonprofits that make Lincoln a stronger, more compassionate place for everyone.

When you give during this campaign, your donation is boosted by a proportional share of a $650,000 match fund — thanks to the generosity of Presenting Sponsor West Gate Bank and other local partners. We’re deeply grateful to these sponsors for helping amplify every gift.

Why Give to Friendship Home?

Friendship Home provides shelter and support to individuals experiencing domestic violence in Lincoln and Lancaster County. In 2024 alone, we served over 1,800 adults and children escaping abuse.

Your donation helps us continue being a safe haven — a place where families can rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

When you give to Friendship Home during Give to Lincoln Day, you’re helping:

  • Provide safe, confidential shelter to survivors
  • Offer 24/7 crisis services and advocacy
  • Empower individuals to live free from domestic violence
