Illuminate: A Night Of Hope and Healing to Benefit Friendship Home
Some nights are unforgettable – not because of their grandeur, but because of the meaning they hold. These nights bring people together, inspire change, and remind us of the power of compassion. On October 23rd, Friendship Home invites you to Illuminate – a night where purpose shines brighter than anything else. More than just a fundraising event, Illuminate is a heartfelt gathering dedicated to hope, healing, and the unwavering support of survivors of domestic violence.
For years, Safe Quarters has brought our community together, standing with survivors, knocking on doors, and bringing our mission to the doorsteps of Lincoln households. This year, we turn the page and introduce Illuminate, a new tradition that continues our shared commitment in an inspiring and deeply impactful way. This elegant event, decked out in purple, will be an evening to gather, reflect, and act, because no one should have to walk the path to safety alone.
Set against the backdrop of powerful storytelling and the candlelit warmth of the Rococo Theatre, Illuminate will offer guests a night of meaningful connection. The evening will include gourmet hors d’oeuvres, an exciting live auction, and a photo booth – all supporting Friendship Home’s mission to provide safe shelter and support services to those escaping domestic violence.
We invite the community to participate in a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign leading up to Illuminate. This initiative allows individuals, families, and businesses to create their own fundraising pages, share why this cause matters to them, and rally their networks to support survivors. Every dollar raised will provide essential resources, including safe shelter, counseling, and advocacy.
Friendship Home has always been where survivors can find safety, strength, and a new beginning. We invite you to be a part of something bigger this coming October and stand together, raise our voices, and shine a light on the path to healing.
