40 years ago this month a Crime Victims Fund was signed into law, providing a source of federal funding to support and assist programs serving individuals who have faced violence.

We celebrate the 40th anniversary of this historic legislation.Lead by advocates, survivors, volunteers, and professionals, VOCA marked a significant milestone in protecting victims’ rights.

At Friendship Home, we honor the those who fought to ensure survivors are treated with dignity and respect.During this month of Domestic Violence Awareness or any month you can learn how to be an effective and supportive ally to survivors.

  3. Listen without judgement
  4. Ask how they want to be helped.
  5. Empower them.
