The following volunteer opportunities involve working in the shelter directly with residents:
Children’s Advocate Volunteers will:
- Be available weekday evenings
- Be 18 years of age or older
- Facilitate children’s support groups
- Provide childcare during resident’s support groups
- Work one-on-one with kids in our “match” program (these hours will vary)

There are a lot of things that go into making a house a home. Assistance is needed to keep Friendship Home safe, sound and well supplied. Facility Volunteers aid in:
- Sorting and organizing donations
- Yard work
- Minor shelter repairs
- “Restocking” units
- “Makeover” a room in shelter or an apartment
Since our agency is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, scheduling for this position is flexible and can be worked out to fit your personal schedule.

The following volunteer opportunities involve working with staff and the community to support victims of domestic violence and their children:
Volunteer at Friendship Home’s fundraising events: Safe Quarters and Stuff the Bus. These events are completely dependent on our dedicated volunteers and raise thousands of dollars in goods and funds to ensure Friendship Home’s doors remain open to those in need.
