Safe Quarters

Safe Quarters is Friendship Home’s largest fundraiser. Each year, Friendship Home receives tremendous support from the community when over 1,500 volunteers go door-to-door requesting financial contributions from every household and raising awareness of domestic violence and resources available to help victims.

Individuals and groups can make a difference at the Safe Quarters event in many ways including recruiting a team, designating proceeds of an event to benefit Safe Quarters or placing collection containers at your business. Change and cash can be dropped off at any Union Bank location from September 1 through October 31. Checks for Safe Quarters can be mailed to Safe Quarters, Friendship Home, P.O. Box 85358, Lincoln, NE 68501.

Stuff the Bus

Friendship Home provides not only safe shelter and support, but also supplies women and children with the necessities needed to start a new life free from violence.

StarTran, in cooperation with North Wal-Mart, South Wal-Mart, East Wal-Mart, Sam's and Three Eagles Communications, annually sponsors "Stuff the Bus." This event asks community members to "Stuff the Bus" by donating new items needed by women and children at Friendship Home. See the needs list for items. Cash donations are also accepted.
